The Cohasset police warned that fundraisers for Walshe's children could be scams, in a post made on Thursday, Jan. 12 on their Facebook page.

"We would be hesitant to donate to any fundraising campaigns at this time," the post read.

The warning of malicious fundraisers was made on the same day as Walshe's planned prayer vigil in Cohasset.

The inter-faith prayer vigil is planned for Thursday, Jan. 12 at 4:30 p.m. at Cohasset Town Common, according to a Facebook post made by St. Stephens Church.

"The Cohasset Community is coming together on the Town Common today to support one another and those who are suffering as a result of this unfolding tragedy," Town Manager Christopher Senior said. "The simple act of joining together with leaders from our local houses of worship to help each other heal is something all of us need at a time like this."

The scams and vigil follow shocking developments that include blood and a bloody knife found in the Walshe home, evidence removed from dumpsters, and Walshe's husband's arrest for misleading police, as reported by Daily Voice.

He informed police that he was taking his son out for ice cream, but actually bought hundreds of dollars of cleaning supplies from Home Depot.

Brian was seen on surveillance cameras at a liquor store dumpster near his mother's residence, according to @CherylFiandaca. Police searched dumpsters near his mother's apartment complex overnight on Monday, Jan. 9, according to the Cohasset Police Department.
